The Nightingale and the rose short story by Oscar wilde useful notes.

Introduction
     

   Oscar Wilde was an Irish writer. The happy prince and the others story was written by him. The story Nightingale and the rose is the part of this book.

The Nightingale  sacrificing her life.  

      Once a nightingale hears complain of student  that the proffessor's daughter will not want to dance because he can not give her red rose.

         The nightingale visits all the rose trees in the garden. One of the rose tree tells  her that the rose will produce only if nightingale sing sweetest song  for the rose  all night with his heart pressing  into a thorn. Thus , he would sacrifies her life.

     

           Nightingale does not want to see tears in student's eyes. So, she give importance to human life over her life and dies painfully after singing the swetest song for roses.

The rejection of Professor's daughter

       The student offers red rose to professor's daughter but she again rejects him because her nephew has sent her some real jewels

        "everybody knows that jewels cost far more than flowers"

Conclusion

     The nightingale sacrifies her life for red rose to make the student happy but after rejection of professor's daughter ,the student throws the red rose into the gutter with anger. He decided not to believe in true love and reading his book to study.
